Air/Oil Separators produced by Fai Filtri are available in basket type or spin-on type cartridges made easy to install and replace. These separators are appropriate for air/oil separation through and interchangeable with the world's leading manufacturers of separator products. Flow rates from 0.6 to 7 m3/min and flow rates up to 45 m3/ min. Custom sizes are available upon request.
The key advantage of FAI FILTRI air/oil separators lies in their ability to capture and retain the majority of aerosolized oil present in the compressed air stream, which is typically generated through entrainment during screw or vane lubrication.
As compressed air contaminated with microscopic oil droplets and solid particles passes through the first layer of reinforced borosilicate microfibers, sub-micron droplets (less than 1 µm in diameter) are forced to coalesce into larger droplets. These larger droplets are then trapped and drained by a second layer of synthetic porous material, ultimately collecting-through the force of gravity-on the dry side of the separator.
